September Newsletter 2012
Welcome
back, it’s officially time to dance and tumble!!!
Schedule
We have the schedule posted on our blog www.nbdancefactoryandgym.blogspot.com
and on the front window of the dance studio (you will even find this newsletter
on the blog). If you would like to add a class, please call Natalie @ 979-0126
or 529-3580. If you would like to switch
a class, a BLUE class change form will need to be filled out by your
instructor. Your instructor has these,
as well as the note rack located by the tuition box. Please
note that statements have been printed according to registration. Class changes
will only reflect on your statement if the blue form is filled out and dropped
in the tuition box for Michelle.
Shoes, Hair,
Dance/Tumbling Clothes…
Please
make sure your student is wearing the proper shoes to class. We do have the Gore Boots and pink ballet
shoes available. Hair must be pulled up
for dance and tumbling. Please make sure
your student is wearing fitted, stretchy clothing. Leotards, biketards, hot shorts, jazz pants,
are all acceptable. Boys will wear loose clothes for tumbling and clogging.
Rules
The instructors will be reviewing the rules will
all students the first day of class. We
have had some damage to our new walls in the dance studio during tryouts. Please remind your student to be respectful
of the studio and its furniture.
Unmanageable students will be excused from the studio and charged for
repairs.
N&B Practice
CD
In mid October, we will have the studio practice CD
available. It will contain all the music
for our dance classes and dance teams.
Videoing
After the teachers have made some progress with the
routines, we invite you to come in the last five minutes of class and video
your student/teacher. This is a great
way to practice at home!
I
can’t write this newsletter without letting you know we had puppies. I have to advertise for one minute and tell
you the mom is a registered Golden Retriever and the dad is a Border
Collie. We had five pups, two are spoken
for. If you are interested, Call NatalieJ They are a great
family or farm dog. Come visit and see how cute they are! The puppies will be
ready to go home in October.
New
Classes!!!
We
have opened some new classes and want to make everyone aware of their
options.
*We are
offering two different Cheerleading
classes. One for students ages
8-10, and another for Middle School Students.
These students will perform and compete. We used to have a ball with
these Cheer classes!
*New Clogging: we are
opening a new clogging class for girls ages 8-10.
*New Technique: We opened a
new technique class on Monday’s from 5:15-6:15. (ages 9-11, or intermediate
level… not beginning/bran new.)
*Open Gym: We will be
offering an OPEN GYM night on Monday’s from 6:15-7:15. You may purchase a punch
pass with 10 punches on it, or register as you would for a normal class.
Students must be able to do running backhand springs for this class.
*Older Boys Tumbling: We are
opening a gym class for boys ages 4-7th GRADE. We have a couple boys registered now. This class is going to have a ball! The boys
always do. (we already have a younger boys class scheduled)
Boys classes are great
for flexibility, coordination, and strength!
The wrestling coaches and my Rhet’s middle school basketball coaches
have commented before on how much they help them. In fact, his basketball coach
added his own son to ballroom a couple years ago for foot work and hand-eye
coordination.
***If you
would like to register for any of the above classes, please call Natalie,
979-0126 or 529-3580.
Mom and
Tot tumbling will be held on Thursdays from 4:30-5:15. We have 3 openings left in this class. It is for girls and boys ages 2-3. If your
not sure, just come give it a try!
